Emergency Services

PET is committed to providing the highest quality 24/7 emergency care in the state of Alaska. We also offer specialty services and feature a team of board-certified specialists who have received advanced training and work collaboratively with our skilled doctors and veterinary technicians to provide the best medical care for your pet.

Emergency Care

PET’s emergency team members are highly-experienced pet emergency veterinarians and technicians. Our pet emergency hospital is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year to serve any pet emergency in Anchorage.

Upon arrival, all pet patients are triaged by one of our experienced technicians. Patients who require immediate assistance will be brought directly to our treatment area for rapid assessment by one of our veterinarians.

We are proud to serve as an extension of your family veterinarian when they are not available. When seconds count in a pet emergency, the specialized training of our emergency teams make a difference.

Foreign Body Removal

We diagnose and treat foreign body cases on a day to day basis at PET Inc. It is common for pets to accompany their owners outdoors to take advantage of the diverse Alaskan landscape, which can in turn lead to exposure to a variety of hazards including fish hooks, porcupine quills or loose tree branches. Indoor pets are also known for their knack for finding seemingly innocuous objects and ingesting them.

Our surgical staff combines advanced diagnostics and surgical procedures with the most minimally invasive techniques available to remove foreign bodies and ensure the best treatment options for your pet.

Domestic Health Certificates

We understand that getting your documents ready before you leave town can be a long process. If you plan to travel soon and don’t have time to obtain a domestic health certificate from your primary care veterinarian, our medical staff is available 24/7 to provide the necessary requirements to help get your pet ready for travel including administering last minute essential vaccinations.
